Citizens Police Academy

Purpose

The purpose of the citizen’s police academy is to educate the public in the policies and procedures of the Narragansett Police Department’s through a series of classes instructed by members of the Narragansett Police Department. The program is designed to encourage input and feedback from the civilian participants. 

Goal

The goal of the Citizen’s Police Academy is to:

• Establish a stronger relationship between the Narragansett Police Department and the community
• Provide citizens of Narragansett a better understanding of the mission and operations of the department

Schedule

The Citizens Police Academy is a 9-week program that meets once a week from 6-9 pm. Please monitor our social media sites for our upcoming academy.
