Wastewater Division
The Wastewater Division is responsible for the complete operation and maintenance of the Town’s wastewater conveyance and treatment system, including 19 pumping stations and the Scarborough Wastewater Treatment Facility. We prepare quarterly billing records, as well as compile and validate the Sewer Roll for approximately 7,690 customers.
The Wastewater Division operates within the Wastewater Enterprise Fund, which is solely supported by user fees and charges, with no property tax contribution.

Help Reduce Infiltration / Inflow:
Sump pumps and downspouts are prohibited from discharging to sanitary sewers. Please help the Wastewater Division reduce Infiltration / Inflow of rain water and groundwater into our sanitary sewer collection system by redirecting improper connections. See attached flyer for information on disconnecting sump pumps and downspouts and contact the Wastewater Division for additional assistance.
