COVID-19 Information

During the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Town Hall and Probate Court are closed to the public. Documents to be filed can be mailed or deposited in the lock box in the front of the building. Click here for an important message from Judge Sheridan.




The Narragansett Probate Court has jurisdiction of the probate of wills, granting of administrations, appointment of guardians, change of names and to fulfill the mandates of Title 33 of the Rhode Island General Laws.

Court sessions take place in the Town Council Chambers at Narragansett Town Hall at 10 AM on the fourth (4th) Thursday of each month (unless it falls on a holiday). The Probate Judge is the Honorable James Sheridan.
