Narragansett Public Schools is looking to undertake a renovation of the existing High School Auditorium to create a modern multi-purpose space that will be more functional for the district. A significant portion of the renovation consist of replacing the current HVAC system and a complete electrical overhaul of the facility. The new electrical system will provide improved lighting and sound control, while the new mechanical system will provide easier operation, less maintenance and be more energy efficient. Along with the HVAC and electrical upgrades, the stage floor will be replaced, a new ceiling will be installed, the seating area will get new finishes, the existing handicapped lift will be replaced with a ramp and the acoustics will be redesigned. The new auditorium will provide a better atmosphere for the variety of uses that are housed there, fix the current maintenance issues, and create a modern facility for the school and the community.
