Posted on: November 4, 2025 | Last Modified on: November 4, 2025[ARCHIVED] Review and Confirm Your Voter Information
Dear Rhode Islanders, We’re asking all active registered Rhode Island voters to confirm their voter information. As early as today, you should receive a yellow-marked envelope with an “Official Election Mail” decal. By taking just a few minutes to review the information in the enclosed letter, you’re doing your part to ensure our voter lists are accurate. |
|
Additionally, if you receive a letter addressed to someone who is not a member of your household, please write “Not at this address” on the envelope and return it to your mail carrier. Returning the envelope allows election officials to begin the process of legally removing the person from the voter rolls. |
|
This mailing is part of our continuous voter list maintenance efforts. It’s important that we add, remove, and update registration information to help elections administrators plan more efficiently and to ensure that eligible voters can cast their ballot. I believe that Rhode Island’s voter lists are already among the most accurate in the country thanks to our existing systems, and your participation in this process is critical to it's success. |
Enfranchisement and expanding voting access remain a top priority. By confirming your voter information online or by mail, you can head to your polling place with confidence next time you vote. So, although there are no statewide elections this year, take a moment this election season to confirm and update your voter information. |

In addition to voter list maintenance, the Department of State has been busy with a few other special events! In October, we welcomed directors Ken Burns and Sarah Botstein to the State House. Following a State House tour, they took questions from our RI Civic Leadership Program students. I encourage everyone to watch their new documentary series, The American Revolution, this November. Much of Rhode Island’s role in the Revolution is on display throughout the film, and our nation's story of independence is told brilliantly. We’ve also continued planting Liberty Trees across the state. A Red Maple will be planted in each city and town to commemorate our nation’s 250th anniversary. Join us in Providence and Narragansett this week for the fall's final two plantings. Lastly, stay tuned for a special announcement from the Rhode Island 250 Commission on Veterans Day to see how they’ll be honoring veterans in 2026. |

Have a great November, Gregg M. Amore Secretary of State |
