Active/Ongoing Road Projects - Updates



Our Department has just been notified by D'Ambra Construction that work on Carver Lane will begin tomorrow, June 18th with the layout of the new road being marked out (of course this is weather dependent!). Full depth reconstruction of the Carver Lane will begin Wednesday the 18th. Update May 24, 2019

Starting after Memorial Day (& after final completion of the East Shore Road reconstruction) D'Ambra Corp (our contractor) will be heading to Carver Lane to begin the paving work on that street.

Sometime after June 1st, 2019 (weather permitting) we will begin reconstruction on the following roads: Channing Road, Checkerberry Road, Choctaw Trail, Inkberry Trail, Juniper Trail Leatherleaf Road, Spice Bush Trail, Wayland Trail, Sumac Trail and Circuit Drive, which is contingent on drainage plan approval.

The work below has been completed.

8/30/18 Starting Tuesday, Sept 4th, D'Ambra Construction will begin BMP road drainage work (tree clearing, creation of swales or sand filters) on the following roads:

  • Raymond Dr
  • Bonnet Terrace (Diane Rd, Spring St, Arnold Ave)
  • Spring Brook Rd
  • Bonnet Shores North (Alan Ave, Anawan Ave, Cavalier Ave, Greenwich Ave, King Philip Rd, Merriweather Ave, Onondega Rd, Webster Ave, What Cheer Rd)

Once the BMP road drainage is completed, they will begin reconstruction & repaving of the roads listed above. Door hanger notices will be distributed to the residents.

8/28/18 East Shore Road: A revised permit application has been submitted to RI CRMC for their approval. 9/13/18 UPDATE: CRMC Has issued a File Number for this application: 2018-08-072 The application notice can be viewed here.

8/9/18 CONGRESS RD/CORNELL RD/HAVEN ST/PRESIDENT DR/TEMPLE LN: Drainage work has begun on President Drive and Temple Lane. Once complete, then the road reconstruction will begin. Door hangers will be distributed to residents of all 5 streets.

8/9/18 SNIPE ROAD/TERN ROAD: Both roads are currently on hold due to lack of availability of certain materials pertinent to the projects. We will update with more information when it is made available to us.

8/30/18 UPDATE: Rin Road: This road is completed.
