Knitting is fun!! No one is too young to learn to knit. This 4-week group is for beginning knitters ages 8 - 14 years old. It will include simple stitches like knit, pearl, cast on and cast off. We will also look at different types of needles, yarns and how to read a gauge. Come and have some fun this January. Registration is required.

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance was developed to address the fear of falling in older adults. This evidence-based program has been shown to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels among participants who complete the eight week program.

Join us for our annual Stone Soup event, featuring a reading of Stone Soup, followed by a soup and bread buffet generously provided by a variety of local restaurants. The event begins at noon, when Narragansett Fire Chief Scott Partington reads the classic children's story. Then all are invited to enjoy the buffet. The event is free with the donation of a non-perishable food or personal hygiene item. All donations will benefit a local food pantry. Come in from the cold and join with others for food and camaraderie! This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Narragansett Library.
