Adults 18 and older. Each week is a different style of theater: Improv acting, scene work with contemporary (present day) scenes, stage combat Shakespeare, Chekhov, monologue/audition work. Each week will include a tour of URI theater department. No prior experience needed. Judgement free zone. Program instructor Vinny Ballirano is a 2015 Graduate of URI - Theater Major. He directed last season's URI Production of The Italian-American Reconciliation by John Patrick Shanley to rave reviews!.

(Narragansett) Wakefield Rotary Club presents the 34th annual Narragansett Art Festival, on Saturday June 25th and Sunday June 26th, 2016 from 9: am to 7: pm. It takes place at Veterans Park, 35 Ocean Road next to the Historic “Towers”. The Art Festival is a non juried high quality fine art exhibition, managed by volunteers since 1982.
Over 65 artists return from previous years, with a total of 108 artists registering last year for the event. The artists come from New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Ed McLaughlin, Chair of the Art Festival said recently, “Wakefield Rotary Club’s 34 annual Narragansett Art Festival is clearly a highlight of the summer season in South County. This Festival brings together over 100 artists from the Northeast as well as thousands of visitors from Rhode Island and surrounding states”.
The net proceeds from the artists’ registration fees support the Wakefield Rotary Clubs’ scholarship program. This program provides three 4-year scholarships to

The Camp at Narragansett is a summer favorite for girls and boys, age groups 5-8 & 9-13 years old. The camp offers a summer full of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and weekly field trips which include trips to the Town Beach. All 5 year olds must have completed kindergarten. Registration will begin May 2nd. Birth Certificate required at the time of registration. Full payment due at registration in the Recreation Office prior to session. Sign up early, there is limited space in each age group. Field trips* Paw Sox July 28th, Spring Lake, Yawgoo Water Park, Southwick's Zoo, Launch, Adventureland & Lazer Gate. *Subject to change.

Each class will have a 5-15 minute warm up consisting of cardiovascular exercises such as running and jumping and will also contain a dynamic stretching routine. Then a workout usually comprised of stations or a timed workout that will last approximately 30-45 minutes. What to expect: Exercises scaled for everyone's ability, fun group setting, new and exciting workouts, led by CrossFit Level One Trainer. Class will meet by Chair 2.
